Cornhole is seeing a meteoric rise from a popular backyard game to a professional sport with pro leagues, and TV tournaments. Last year at World, several exciting cornhole bags made their debut, and while I haven’t had the chance to throw all of them just yet, I’ve based my rankings on what I saw, experienced, and know about the materials and bag designs. These are just my opinions—every player has their preferences, and the cornhole community thrives on diversity in playing styles and gear. Let’s dive into my top 7 picks and predictions for the best cornhole bags of 2025.
I’ve also provided a list of bags I’m still throwing and gathering data on in humid and moisture conditions. I will make individual posts dedicated to one set of bags at a time, with information about each set’s positives and negatives, based on my experience.
Note: Just because I like or don’t like a bag, doesn’t mean you will feel the same. Everyone has their own style and preferences.
The Top 10 Cornhole Bags Ranked For 2025
When you realize you got too many bags and some gonna go. Only one way to settle it. A battle of the bags! Having my own double elim tournament. Bags head to head. Time to see who stays and who goes in our Best Cornhole Bags 2025 List.
#10 – Fire Cornhole Heat
Fire bags confound me. I like every bag of theirs I’ve thrown. They sponsor some of the best players in the world. Their pricing is best. Yet there never seems to be much of a buzz around their products. I’m not really sure why that is. That’s a separate topic that I at least wanted to mention before I started this review. In terms of the Fire Heat, I really like them. They can easily be set around the top 10 best cornhole bags list for 2025 of every player. It’s a specific bag that has a time and place within the lineup.
The Heat are designed for fast bag players who like to run the hole. With speeds of 7/9, you can use only one side of the bag, but be ready for board condition changes. If you want to play the 7 and it seems too slow, then flip the bag. If you want to play the 9 and it seems too fast, flip the bag. I like that option.
I was able to win my first ACL event throwing these. My scoring average shot up in my final matches. These bags did their job. They feel so good in my hand and offer me the fast bag still that I love so much. These are definitely a top 5 for me right now.
#9 – Black Sheep Sentenced Cornhole Bags
Black Sheep continues to impress me with their products. I’ve said it time and time again, no company is more confident about their products than Black Sheep. They put bags in people’s hands because they know they are legit. They will let his bags do the talking.
The Sentenced is their take on the Sorcerer bag, using similar materials. It’s soft, with a bit more flop compared to the Sorcerer, and should be incredibly hole-friendly. Black Sheep’s pricing will undoubtedly be competitive. The bags have undergone a thoughtful relaunch, replacing the original fast side material with the more durable SureFire side, offering a balanced speed of 8-9. The slow side features a herringbone weave, playing around a 5 in normal conditions.
This bag offers excellent forgiveness compared to fuller bags like the BG Wizard, making it easier to control while still capable of skilled shots like rolling. Ideal for players seeking a versatile, durable option, the Sentenced is bound to rank among the best cornhole bags.
#8 – Titan Venom Cornhole Bags
Titan proves that you can buy great bags and not have to spend a ton of money. I love they offer tons of different materials, templates, fill, and speed options. Titan is such an underrated bag company. They really make some awesome and often unique stuff. If most of their bags weren’t so darn ugly, I think they’d sell a ton more. Now that isn’t always the case. These Venom actually look pretty awesome.
Almost every Titan bag I’ve thrown has this same medium sized template. Their bags feel so good in my hand. Almost every bag they make has the same materials as a competitor, I like the Titan’s version better. I like the venom better than the sure fire. Titan Venom is another sure fire variant. However, for me, it’s better. Venoms are a tad smaller overall template (the length is smaller than the width on the venoms and swarms), and the overfullness is thicker. This allows the bags to play slower than a less full sure fire.
#7 – Buffalo Sauced
I love Buffalo bags they always bring quality, and their new Sauced bag is no different. Their support staff are so nice and really love people and their fans. I can’t help but root for them. I couldn’t decide which bag I was more interested in, these or the shadow. This bag uses the same fast side as the Viper, but it is paired with a slower side made of Costello X material. I know both materials and I like both materials. So I’m probably going to like this bag.
The corners seem round. I like that too. I am a little confused though. These and the fallouts both have the same fast side and carpets that will play between a 5-6. Both feature the same fill type too I believe. Other than a different type of carpet that may feel a little different and be a touch more durable, it should play almost the same as a Fallout X. They seem maybe a touch more full, but we will see. I’ll have to throw it and see how it compares in terms of playability. Stay tuned for that. This is Buffalo’s version of a Viper R variant (yes with a different carpet). If you are a Buffalo soldier, the Sauced is a must-try in 2025.

#6 – Swag Bazooka Cornhole Bags
The Bazooka is Swag’s latest, and I’m confident it’s going to be a hit. Occasionally companies hit home runs. Swag is about to knock this one out of the park. So Swag did well with the Chaos already. They made a Viper R but with a comp stamp. Same materials, half the price. No brainer for most players. So Swag does something here that some might think is stupid. I think Pairing the Viper R’s slow side with the Sorcerer’s fast side is a genius move.
So hold up they have a 6/9 chaos and a 6/9(ish) Bazooka?’ Yep. But why not? You are taking the best of both worlds. The two most popular bags of the last 6 months were the Viper R and Sorcerer. You took the two unique materials from both, the Viper R carpet and Sorcerer Fast Side, and paired them together. No one else did that. Swag did.
I believe this bag is gonna feature a mixed fill as well, which means more active and hole friendly than a sorcerer. As I mentioned above, the sorcerer fast side material is the hot new thing that everyone’s using to start 2025. It’s fast, it’s thinner, it’s floppier. Swag’s prices are cheap in comparison too. Great materials. Great pricing. What’s not to like here? Oh by the way, these will feature the pro stamp too. I believe this bag is set to be a top seller in 2025. Look out for my full review.
#5 – Lucky Clover
Lucky Bags introduced the Clover at Worlds, and while I missed out on grabbing one, I’m excited about it. It’s the pro sniper fast. However, this is a brand new carpet that no one else uses. Totally unique to Lucky. That’s what got me. I can’t really think what to even compare it to. It sort of looks and feels like the Kombat slow, but it’s definitely not. This carpet is faster. I can tell it won’t be Viper R fast. My prediction is that it will settle in around a 5.
People who have thrown it already are saying how fast it plays out of the gate but then slows down. Normally, this would spell out a kick heavy bag. Fast material paired with a drastically slower fabric, usually is a recipe for disaster with non flat bag throwers. However, everyone who’s thrown it brags about how forgiving this bag is. I’m gonna have to throw it.
I will say, it’s a large template and felt pretty full in my hand. That’s not at all typical of other Lucky bags I’ve thrown (Celtics, sure fire, pro snipers). I love that Lucky bags are heavier though. They stay consistent with bag weight between their series. Lucky’s new addition to the carpet family will be a popular one. I’m going to need to find a set to review. Expect the Clover to be a popular choice in 2025 for those looking for speed and control in their cornhole bags.
#4 – Buffalo Shadow Cornhole Bags
Buffalo Bags came out strong with the Shadow. As I said earlier, I wasn’t sure which I wanted more the Sauced or these. Without a doubt, the most popular material that everyone is adding to their lineup is the Sorcerer fast side. Black Sheep, Swag, and Buffalo all added bags that use this material. Buffalo took a different approach. They paired it with a carpet I’ve only seen on one other bag and loved.
The Shadow bag combines a Sorcerer fast side with a Brotherhood Guardian carpet. This material is soft. It’s fast. It’s hole friendly. I’d call it a 6-6.5. Great speed. I will say that this material can be prone to separate, so throw it indoors or with caution. These bags were pretty floppy off the table as well. Both materials are gonna make this bag a hole melter I can already tell.
The floppy nature and great speeds (6 on the slow side, 9-10 on the fast) will make it one of the best cornhole bags for 2025 year. This could be a new personal favorite. It felt like a little smaller template size too, but I haven’t measured it officially yet. These and the slashers have me itching to hit the boards and try them out as soon as I get them broken in. More to come soon with a full review.
#3 – Cornhole Coastal Creature
There was a lot of hype in the building with the Coastal Creature bag that was released late in 2024. Deservedly so too. Cornhole Coastal is slowly building quite a local following and a dedicated fan base. Some of the bags I reviewed earlier weren’t my personal favorites. They just didn’t fit my style of throw. However, the Boardwalker is by far and away one of the most underrated bags in all of the cornhole. If you like to throw roll shots, there isn’t a better bag for it.
Now the creature. I will be reviewing this bag. My doubles partner bought a set. It features the viper fast with a herringbone carpet. That will categorize it in my “sorcerer/fallout X variant” list. So what’s so different? First off, cornhole coastal stays true to the round bead fill (feels like a few discs might be in there, but mostly round, if not entirely). That’s gonna make this bag active and hole friendly. This bag has a larger template and seems a little on the fuller order too. So even though it has the same (similar) materials to a Fallout X, it feels nothing like it in hand and will react much differently on the boards. It will be less forgiving, but will also be more hole friendly and easier to flop and roll. I’m guaranteeing this will be their best seller in 2025 also. Excited to throw these.
#2 – Seva Slasher Cornhole Bags
I’m going to be honest for a moment. First, no one won me over this year more than Seva Cornhole. Seva Cornhole is known for its loyal fanbase, and their new Slasher bag didn’t disappoint. Seva Nation has always intrigued me. They have the most devoted fan base I’ve ever seen from a bag company. They are like Pittsburgh sports fans. But honestly, I get why. There are a few (but some) good guys out there who care this much about their product and their customers. Seva makes good bags and will take care of you. That’s a fact.
Now the Slasher. This might be the bag I’m the most excited about throwing off all that I brought home. They feel great right off the table. I’ve never thrown this carpet before, but I have seen it before (I just can’t remember where). I’m assuming based on feel that it plays between a 5.5-6. It has a similar texture to the Viper R. It has the same fast side material as the R as well. However, this bag is softer. It’s got a little more floppiness to it. I’m going to guess this bag will melt into the hole. This will be one of the first bags I break in and throw— stay tuned for my full review.
#1 – Lucky Sure Fire Cornhole Bags
Lucky Bags is no doubt one of (if not the most) popular bag companies on the planet. The Sure Fire and Pro Sniper are a staple at every event you go to. Everyone has thrown them and is familiar with them. Lucky has tried their hand at a few other bags over time. I have reviewed the Luciano and Clovers already.
In the cornhole world you will hear the term “surefire variant” used a lot. Everyone makes one. Well, there is a reason why. It’s because this bag is just that solid and dependable. Is it my fastest? Slowest? Firmest? Floppiest? No to all. However, it’s just that great middle-of-the-road bag that anyone can throw. Its speeds are listed at a 4/8. I say it’s faster on both sides than that. I have tested it time and time again and see it plays more of a 5/9. It moves up the board with ease and is easy to block with on the slow side as well. It’s a floppier bag, but not miserably mushy like a lot of other broken-in bags I have held.
SureFires are hole-friendly and play right within my speed range. I don’t think they’ll ever drop out of my top 3 or 4. It will definitely be one of the best cornhole bags for 2025 and beyond.
Best Cornhole Bags for Moisture 2025
Best bags for moisture. Based on my experiences here are my top 3 suggestions…
#1- Nola Mudbug Cornhole Bags
This bag can play as slow as a 4 in normal conditions when broken in (the fast between an 8-9). When it gets damp, this bag turns into about a 6/8, the “carpet” playing the 8. The slow material is almost plastic like. It’s hard to explain. When it gets damp, this bag goes to work. It’s super hole friendly always. When it’s crazy humid, pull this bad boy out of your bag and watch others struggle to adjust, while you continue to move up the board with ease.
#2- Buffalo Splash Cornhole Bags
Supposedly this bag was made for humid conditions. Normally this bag plays a 7/8. I like it in normal conditions. When it’s sticky out, this bag will still play like a 5/8-9. The fast side is always the carpet side. It’s a different carpet that is similar to herringbone, but different. The printed side is always slow and plays a 7 normally. In humidity, it will bite. When it’s wet at all, it’s glue (but so are most bags). In a light drizzle the fast side started to slow down too, but still played about a 6.5-7. That’s impressive when the material is saturated.
#3- Seva Siege Cornhole Bags
I love the Siege in general. It’s my preferred of the bags that use these materials, based on fill type and template size. This bag plays a 4/7 in normal conditions. I played them in a drizzle the other day and the sides switched. The fast became about a 4-5 and the slow became a 7 that ran the board and fell in with ease. I maintained a 9 PPR in three games vs the Ghost using wet bags. (feel free to sub BG Viking, Sure Shot Kryptonite, or any other bag that uses this material combo)
Honorable mention- Titan Ravager Fury
Any bag with the pro sniper/viper fast side material will find a way to still maintain a 7-8 even in damp/sticky conditions. The reason I give the edge here to the Rav Fury over other bags with that material is that these use the Viper fast and paired it with the game changer/sure fire fast. The bag is normally an 8/9. In humidity, it’s still about a 5/7.5.
Best Cornhole Bags For Humidity 2025
WHICH BAGS ARE BEST FOR HUMIDITY, once and for all.
My league partner and I lost in an outdoor league once it got dark and humidity sat in. I made the rookie mistake of switching to a faster bags thinking it would automatically play better. This was not the case. So I conducted a little throwing experiment below.
I selected 20 sets of bags that players could be inclined to consider throwing in humid conditions. Many bags listed reacted differently on boards that were actually wet.
Humidity was 84% outside when this experiment was conducted.
Bags are listed Slowest to Fastest:
20. Alien UFO: an extremely fast bag normally, but turns insanely sticky when the humidity hits.
19. Buffalo Splash: hailed as the ultimate humidity bag, but plays better when wet than just humid. The fast side plays great but the slow side gets really slow. *plays great on damp boards
18. Ninja Smoke (or Lucky Pro Sniper): The slow side gets a little sticky, but the fast side still moves
17. Vortex Zone: another fast bag normally that slows down dramatically on slow side.
16. Nola Jester: the slow side gets sticky but the fast side remains stupid quick
15. Coastal Cornhole Swordsman: yet another 7/9 that gets dramatically slower on stick side, fast side still moves
14. Seva Siege (BG Viking): slow side becomes the fast. The carpet 4 becomes a 6. The fast 7 becomes a 4. *plays great on damp boards
13. Ninja Street: maintains speeds well, goes from a 5/8 to a 5.5/7.
12. Black Sheep Costello X: maintains speeds well, goes from 5/8.5 to 5.5/8
11. All-Cornhole Shag Attack: fast side material slows down some, but still plays well
10. Ninja Poison: maintains speeds well, goes from 5.5/8 to 6/7
9. Ninja Katana: Slow side become fast. Slow goes from 4.5/ to a 7. Fast slows from 8 to a playable 6.
8. Nola Mudbug: Slow side really speeds up to a great 6 speed. Fast maintains around a 7.5/8. *plays great on damp boards
7. Local Terminators: maintains speeds well, goes from 5/9 to 6/8
6. Ultra Viper R: maintains speeds well, goes from 5.5/9 to 6/8
5. Lucky Celtics: maybe the best non carpet option. Slow side drops from an 8 to a 6.5. Fast side holds near an 8.
4. Titan Revenger Fury: same materials as Celtics above, just less-full, lighter, and more loose feeling bag. Could play a touch faster than Celtics.
3. Ultra Vapor R: Slow sides and fast sides reverse. Slow goes from 6.5 to an 8. The fast goes from an 8 to a 6.5. Great choice for staying consistent. All you need to do is flip bag over to adjust to conditions.
2. Local Hustler X: Slow side herringbone carpet speeds up a lot. 5.5 turns into a 7.5-8. Fast side maintains at a quick 8.
1. Razor Podium: I’m renaming these the “Moisture Monsters”. The slow side carpet goes from a 6 to a 7.5 ( maybe an 8 ). The fast side holds at an 8-8.5. These bags hit the gas pedal when boards get sticky.
